Forty minutes only in the truck with<br \/>\nthe cool air shreaking through the system.<br \/>\nThe start of the journey was through the oil palms<br \/>\nand was on Tarmac. But we soon turned off onto a\u00a0dirt track, through the plantation and carried on\u00a0through the dusty road to Mosa.\u00a0The village was beautiful, an open green space with\u00a0flowers and plants lining our way.\u00a0We were met by the warriors and led in procession\u00a0a welcome into the village. A wonderful sight\u00a0and experience, the sounds, the smells, the bright\u00a0sunshine, the clear and strong colours.<\/p>\n<p>This was our first service on the island and simply\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.faithgoeswalkabout.org\/papuanewguineapilgrimage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/2c.Mosa-St-Lawrence-Church.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-263\" src=\"http:\/\/www.faithgoeswalkabout.org\/papuanewguineapilgrimage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/2c.Mosa-St-Lawrence-Church-224x300.jpg\" alt=\".Mosa St Lawrence Church\" width=\"224\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.faithgoeswalkabout.org\/papuanewguineapilgrimage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/2c.Mosa-St-Lawrence-Church-224x300.jpg 224w, http:\/\/www.faithgoeswalkabout.org\/papuanewguineapilgrimage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/2c.Mosa-St-Lawrence-Church-765x1024.jpg 765w, http:\/\/www.faithgoeswalkabout.org\/papuanewguineapilgrimage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/2c.Mosa-St-Lawrence-Church.jpg 1936w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 224px) 100vw, 224px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nwonderful.<br \/>\nThe procession in with the bishops, awe inspiring<br \/>\nled in by the girls gently moving in Immaculate<br \/>\nrhythm to the drums and singing of the men and<br \/>\nwomen.<br \/>\nThis procession was repeated for the entrance of<br \/>\nthe gospel and also the offerings.<br \/>\nCommunion was received and blessings were given<br \/>\nto many many children and people, those in the<br \/>\nchurch and the children sitting in the door<br \/>\nentrances and on the grass outside.<br \/>\nThe service lasted for 2 hours and followed by food<br \/>\nlike a banquet with speeches and. entertainment.<br \/>\nWe left Mosa at about 1.00pm and in the burning\u00a0heat made our way through the tiny and pitted\u00a0track to Saraclock, a really small settlement. But the welcome was huge and we followed the children\u00a0and musicians into a small areas with an awning\u00a0and side covers, for the speeches and\u00a0entertainment.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.faithgoeswalkabout.org\/papuanewguineapilgrimage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/2e.-Saraclock-school.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-265 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.faithgoeswalkabout.org\/papuanewguineapilgrimage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/2e.-Saraclock-school-224x300.jpg\" alt=\" Saraclock school\" width=\"224\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.faithgoeswalkabout.org\/papuanewguineapilgrimage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/2e.-Saraclock-school-224x300.jpg 224w, http:\/\/www.faithgoeswalkabout.org\/papuanewguineapilgrimage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/2e.-Saraclock-school-765x1024.jpg 765w, http:\/\/www.faithgoeswalkabout.org\/papuanewguineapilgrimage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/2e.-Saraclock-school.jpg 1936w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 224px) 100vw, 224px\" \/><\/a>The children were intrigued and for many of the\u00a0women I talked with, I was the first white woman\u00a0they had seen. Lots of people to shake hands avidly\u00a0and exchange names.<br \/>\nMore good food and although the bread became\u00a0toasted in the sun it was very welcome.<br \/>\nWe were about to leave when we asked to visit the\u00a0school.
