Her parents Nelson and Winnie Mandela were an enormous force in the anti apartheid movement in South Africa and Zindzi followed in her parents footsteps to lead, to make changes and to ensure all South Africans have a chance in life.<\/p>\n<p>It was enormously sad that Zindzi , so full of life, died on Monday 13th July 2020 at the age of 59. Called away far too soon and she will be missed enormously by her family, supporters and by the wider world, where she was continuing to make a difference through determination and love.<\/p>\n<p>Many projects are underway through Zindzi,\u00a0 an anti- apartheid protester from an early age, and her ability to engage and make things work, like her father, Nelson who said &#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"image-title-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"image-title sqs-dynamic-text\" data-width-percentage=\"23.4\">\n<p class=\"\"><em>It always seems impossible until it\u2019s done\u201d &#8211; Nelson Mandela.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In 2018 we met Zindzi Mandela at South Africa House, Trafalgar Square, London at the publication of her book with her great grandchildren.\u00a0 What a special day and invited through our work based organisation <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsite.booksgowalkabout.com\">Books Go Walkabout,<\/a>\u00a0 and one which I will remember as a great honour.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thebookmonitor.com\/?s=Grandad+Mandela\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-4368\" src=\"http:\/\/www.faithgoeswalkabout.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Grandad-Mandela.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"192\" height=\"239\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.faithgoeswalkabout.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Grandad-Mandela.png 259w, http:\/\/www.faithgoeswalkabout.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Grandad-Mandela-241x300.png 241w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 192px) 100vw, 192px\" \/><\/a>&#8220;Grandad Mandela &#8220;by Zazi, Ziweli and Zindzi Mandela, with illustrations by Sean Qualls, published by F<a href=\"https:\/\/www.quartoknows.com\/imprints\/2070\/Frances-Lincoln-Children-s-Books\/\">rances Lincoln Books<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Rest in peace Zindzi and rise in glory.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rev&#8217;d Sue Martin<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"post-title\"><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I only met Zindzi Mandela once,and in that few hours could feel the depth of love and emotion that she felt for her family and the cause of the Mandela Legacy Foundation.
